Specialty Dental Care

Periodontal & Gum Disease

Our doctors and hygienists are expertly trained to assess and treat periodontal issues with great care. Healthy gums and the bone that supports your teeth are essential for maintaining strong, functional teeth. Periodontal disease occurs when bacteria attack the tissue and bone around your teeth, which, if untreated, can lead to tooth loss. When plaque and tartar (also called calculus) accumulate, particularly on the root surfaces, we may recommend a deep cleaning procedure such as scaling and root planing, or debridement. These treatments effectively remove plaque and tartar from below the gumline and help control periodontal disease. Depending on the severity of your condition, we may suggest a personalized maintenance plan, which could include more frequent visits—typically 3 to 4 times per year—to ensure optimal gum and bone health and prevent future complications.

Prevention

A good home care routine is your first line of defense against gingivitis and periodontal disease. Brushing and flossing daily, eating a balanced diet, and giving up unhealthy habits like smoking are essential for maintaining your oral health.

Root Canal Therapy

Our clinical team is trained to identify tooth decay early, with the goal of preventing the need for more invasive treatments. However, if decay is left untreated for an extended period, or if a tooth has a large restoration, irreversible pulpitis or infection can develop. Irreversible pulpitis is a severe inflammation of the dental pulp (the soft tissue inside the tooth), often caused by untreated decay or trauma. This condition leads to persistent pain and, if left untreated, can require a root canal to save the tooth. The most common symptom of an infection or pulpitis that may require a root canal is persistent pain in a single tooth.

While it’s natural to feel anxious about a root canal, it remains one of the most effective ways to relieve the pain and swelling caused by severe decay or infection. Without treatment, tooth loss is often the inevitable outcome.

If a root canal becomes necessary, you can rest assured that we can perform the procedure right here in our office for your convenience. Thanks to our state-of-the-art technology, many patients find that root canal treatment feels similar to getting a routine filling—comfortably manageable with minimal discomfort.

Sleep Dentistry

We understand that quality sleep is essential to your overall health and well-being. If you struggle with snoring or have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, we offer custom dental solutions designed to provide relief and improve your sleep.

Our team will carefully evaluate your sleep study results and design a personalized oral sleep appliance that gently repositions your jaw, helping to open your airway throughout the night. This simple, non-invasive treatment can promote better airflow to help reduce or eliminate snoring, leading to more restful, uninterrupted sleep.

For some patients, a dental appliance can complement a CPAP machine, making it more comfortable and effective. For others, the appliance may serve as a viable alternative to CPAP, especially for those who find it difficult to tolerate masks or machines.

Dentures

Our team is compassionate and understanding when it comes to your dentures. We know that finding the right denture solution is important for both your dental health and your confidence. That’s why we offer a variety of denture options to fit your individual dental, personal, and financial needs.

Full Conventional Dentures

For patients who need to replace all teeth on one or both jaws, full conventional dentures are a reliable solution. They are custom-made to fit comfortably and help restore both the appearance and function of your smile.

Partial Denture

If you still have some healthy natural teeth, partial dentures are a great option. These are designed to work with your existing teeth, supported by adjacent teeth for a secure fit that enhances both your smile and your ability to chew.

Implant-Supported Dentures (Overdentures)

For the most stable and long-lasting solution to tooth loss, we offer implant-supported dentures. These dentures are anchored securely by dental implants, which can either be designed to snap on and off for easy maintenance or be screw-retained for a more permanent solution.

Screw-retained dentures are fixed in place and cannot be removed by the patient, providing the ultimate stability and comfort. Whether you prefer the convenience of removable overdentures or the security of a permanent, screw-retained option, implant-supported dentures offer unmatched confidence-helping you eat, speak, and smile naturally without worrying about shifting or discomfort.
